Tomorrow is the last day of LOVE IS AWESOME at Gallery 10, 10 Gun Street

Suzanne(jelly) along with Zoe (Rogues Gallery) have been guardians of this beautiful space since June 2008 in which time we have had 12 shows with over 100 artists. All the exhibitions were put together by the artists themselves and offered a diverse programme.

There will be a new space to fill this gap soon, watch this space for details but we have loved every minute of it and want to thank Danny Fraifield and Greg Muden (Purple Turtle) and Steve Tait for their generosity in giving this space over to the artists in Reading.

LOVE IS AWESOME at Gallery 10. Ends Feb 28th.

LOVE IS AWESOME is a mischievous, offbeat celebration of the awesomeness of love. Featuring Relics of an Awesome Love knitted in stone-like yarn by Rachael Matthews, an informative Love documentary (Love-U-Mentary) by performance artist Stavroula Kounadea, various, completed Love Assignments from Felicity Ford and assorted works by Emmylou Laird, the show will help you to consider for yourself the proposition that LOVE IS AWESOME.

LOVE IS AWESOME promises to be a surprising antidote to the asinine syrup of Valentine’s day and a marvellous tonic for the hear - more info and images at. http://thedomesticsoundscape.com

feeding into thinking on future arts funding

Last week about 10 artists and two puppeteers met at South St for the last in a series of workshops commissioned by Berkshire Arts Partnership. As always many people weren't able to attend or the information hadn't reached them. Some notes from discussion are in comments. Are the hopes and challenges familiar?
