To find out more about Third Thursday, visit here. We are looking for artists from any artforms ~ dancers, actors, singers, musicians, film makers, poets, crafters, makers, designers, sculptors, photographers. Our idea is to have a summer garden party during the day down the main street in Reading on Thursday 21 July 2011. This month is already a celebration of arts, music and film with the outside:inside pop-up festival so this Third Thursday will be a celebration, a pop-up arty tea party. Anyone is welcome to submit and submission forms can be found here. Deadline for submission is 23 June 2011

The second artistic opportunity is the forthcoming Nuit Blanche, 14-15 October 2011. Nuit Blanche, after a successful pilot project last year, is inviting proposals from artists, performers, organisations and venues to take part musicians from this dusk to dawn to event. We will be hosting a special artists info evening on Wednesday 18 May from 6.30-8.30 at jelly, 42 Market Place, Reading. The steering group which includes representatives from Reading Borough Council, independent arts organisations and Reading UK CIC will be present to give advice, support and talk through ideas. Hope you can make it!

Full submission documents can be found here: artists submission, finding a venue, risk assessment. Deadline for submission 31 July 2011

If you don't feel creatively inclined but would like to take part, please download the artists submission and find out more about taking part in the Dawn Chorusalabama whirlyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14118486123848922752noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-142249056451099253.post-45727846509827584892011-04-22T17:36:00.002+01:002011-04-22T17:41:08.781+01:00this time<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 283px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMIypzMnHDBb-18ANrH9CpD4TeJggSQp07wBrKKE_NQ4UcPkctd1cUJa71cfYCMrqLDMwutqFnb_LuB0rgq65jopKhx3VnN-xhTpxv-UfNDrkIN2lL5BNpO9RItFGvuGKdAy8nDKewd8w/s400/this+time.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5598446180476679474" />

with
Julia Rogers, Clemens Steigleder, Ingrid Jensen, Bithja Moor, Chris Mercier and Jo Thomas
Saturday 30th April to Monday 2nd May
2 - 5 pm
opening reception with introductory talk by Roxi Tohaneanu-Shields on Friday 29th, 7 -9 pm
St. Andrew's Church, Caversham
Albert Road, RG4 7PLbithjahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14403747106787889919noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-142249056451099253.post-33089507106309974092011-04-12T17:00:00.003+01:002011-04-12T17:09:26.296+01:00At Play 3<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 283px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8bpCCrAOlaI-sOJ4zH_MMImjKwKtM2BGKH1w9V86b86GD6cjxromqgAhCklVm5Gtf4SL5jWMVC4J_ZvjX2I0fWoDyfjOgHp89Ru2w9-Qbrnth3c_qzWwEoUyT5RKNxkJMgiL89VDP6PA/s400/At+Play+3+Flyer%252C+South+Hill+Park+16+April+-+19+June+2011.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594728637021458674" />

At Play 3 (Bracknell Gallery, Mirror Gallery and Atrium)
Rachael Allen, Carol Coates, Claire Deniau, Nisha Duggal, Alice Flight, Jane Glennie, Frances Greenough, Tom Hackett, Jenny Kiehn, Este Macleod, Tom Marshman, Beverley Matchette-Downes,
Penny Matheson, Bithja Moor, Mary Oliver, Steve Perfect , Neil Raitt, Gary Scholes, Cally Trench, Liz West and Mandy Wilkinson.

Exhibitions at South Hill Park
16 April - 19 June

Opening reception & live performances: Fri 15 April, 6.30-8.45pm - all welcome
Alice Flight: No Work No Play, throughout the reception
Tom Marshman: Knitting without Tears, 8.30pmbithjahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14403747106787889919noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-142249056451099253.post-29592168397971935202011-04-07T09:11:00.004+01:002011-04-07T09:15:21.571+01:00Artists opportunties<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 75px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpVO9iKeRbURx_gEA34TbvkGlCSVJmhJzLqsItyr6XOcTX2cBycHhpaM5rBQnlfhJesIx6F147CpYQ5uMTCoY6XNW_y6fPQIUqXB8JEiN5nz88qfbAGkInnNk4LMJ057VLbAo19zovUlqS/s400/OI-NEW-BRANDING4.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5592752282154503714" />

Open Call for Artists Submissions for outside:inside pop-up Festival

outside:inside is more innovative than ever before. Music, Film, Art, Theatre and Dance are all showcased throughout the festival period amongst the festivals inside and outside spaces.
The Concept? Simple. The Outside:Inside takes the inside art institutions outside for the general public like yourself to enjoy out on the streets, and open spaces; whilst the outside festival vibe is taken inside, into the venues and into the shops, the restaurants, bars and quite possibly some pretty unusual places too, but you will have to keep your eyes peeled for that.

Performers will be descending on Reading from around the globe, with acts representing many great nations including Israel, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Ireland, Canada, the USA, and even Transylvania, Romania. These top global acts will bring a wealth of differing global styles with them, interacting with the huge amount of local talent whic will be drawn to the festival.
Interaction is the key, build an art installation, stroll the art market stalls, chooe from a worldwide array of food, ponder the outside art, sing along to the bands on stage, take a moment to reflect on the poetry and spoken word, be suprised by the random improvised theatre, foot-tap to a bit of Jazz or getting down and dirty at one of our inside venues afterparties or headline shows alongside the festival profile bands, big name DJs, and organisers till the wee hours.

The Mission:
The Outside:Inside Festival is brought to you by Outside Inside LTD with the support of Reading UK CIC.
Their joint aim. To provide Reading with a new more vibrant and celebrated culture, whilst providing a voice to the wealth of artistic talent and young enterprise in the Thames Valley area.
The festival is for you. The people of Reading, the familys, the shop workers, the shop owners, the bartenders, the professional, the young, and the old. This is why we have made all outside space free. It won't cost you a penny to come along and interact.

The Art Bits:
Submissions/ proposals are invited to use the following spaces at the following times. Please send all proposals to suzanne@jelly.org.uk. All submissions must be received by 28 June 2010

31st July
Behind BSM/ Civic Office area/ Dusseldorf Way, Clomnel Walk area
12-8pm( or hours in between them)

14th August
Market Place
-Through Bristol & West Walk, outside either ends of the space
12-8 ( or hours in between them)

21st August
Forbury Gardens
-Any area really -
12-8 ( or hours in between them)

looking forward too hearing from you!

Suzanne Stallard
Director

e suzanne@jelly.org.uk
website http://jelly.org.uk

jelly is an arts organisation in the heart of Reading.
